Think of all the items you might have in storage that are too good to waste.
What can your container bring to families in the UK?
Over the past few weeks we have been working with Reuse Network who have put us in touch with charities around the country who are looking for office and household items for reuse.
On Friday a customer’s unwanted items went to charity Too Good Too Waste – featured above and below, who can make use of mattresses, chairs, ironing boards, lights – all essential household items for those in need.
Our customers can now reuse and donate items from storage simply by a click of a button through our unique asset management system.
Our enhanced sustainability support enables you to reduce the amount of items you have in storage whilst supporting the community and reducing your carbon footprint at the same time.
As part of our enhanced sustainability service to customers and film productions, we can facilitate the donation of office and household items, as well as interesting props & costumes – all in good or simply workable condition and in need of a new home.
We are not only trying to avoid items that are no longer needed by our customers going into landfill, we are also trying to avoid them being broken down to their component parts and recycled.
This is because we are committed to investing in the circular economy – our aim at CAMA storage is to get household, office and production assets back into the community.
According to Reuse Network:
10 million household items are sent to landfill every year.
3 million of these could be reused by people in crisis.
The team here at CAMA are keen to make sure that household and office items that are no longer needed by our clients and productions are given to those most in need. And because of our unique asset management software, you can review your items online and allocate what you’d like to be donated, shared, recycled or delivered to a specific location.
As well as working with Reuse Network and Too Good Too Waste we are also working closely with Single Homeless Project and Barking & Dagenham Council. Thereby ensuring that a number of community organisations can now benefit from items in storage that are no longer needed by our customers.
