Investing in sustainability – our new clean energy warehouse in Southend
We are delighted to announce that our Southend storage warehouse is nearing completion.
As part of our commitment to sustainability and energy efficiency, we are in the process of installing PV panels on the roof.
Our Director, Michaele Apostolides, explains that we have invested an additional £100k to double the number of panels and increase battery storage capacity. This will allow us to maximize the use of the power generated, enabling us to meet the energy requirements for heating, cooling, lighting, and charging forklifts. On top of that, we will be able to charge our electric vehicles on good days. We will share photos of the installed panels once they are in place.
The new warehouse is being meticulously constructed to achieve the BREEAM Very Good certification and an outstanding EPC rating of A. We take great pride in our sustainable construction and engineering practices.
Furthermore, our warehouse will serve as a dedicated reuse center for the film and TV industry, playing a significant role in reducing emissions through the reuse of sets, props and costumes. Want to know more about our reuse service? Read more here.
