Keeping our wildlife and animals in Essex warm and ‘wild’!
Following a recent production strike the green team (and animal lovers!) at CAMA AssetStore donated a selection of warm blankets and textiles, that were unsuitable for home use, to two very different animal charities in our surrounding Essex area.
South Essex Wildlife Hospital (SEWH) is dedicated to putting ‘life’ back into the ‘wild‘. They care for sick, injured and orphaned wildlife and aim to release animals back into the wild. No injured or sick animal is turned away. SEWH relies entirely on donations, and so the team were thrilled to receive these super cosy donations to keep their Seal pups warm.
“We have the only hospital facilities of its kind within our area, covering most of Essex, East London and North Kent. The cost of food, equipment, fuel and vets bills is met solely by public donations, for which we are extremely grateful”
Next stop – the Greyhound Trust the Dunton Branch. A centre with currently over 100 rescued former race dogs.
Their vision is the day when all racing greyhounds retire to loving homes and are treated with compassion and kindness.
Greyhounds need anything that can help to keep them warm during the winter months. So the perfect recipient of more duvets, blankets, towels, curtains and any fabric we had in stock, that were not in a suitable condition to be reused elsewhere.
We enjoyed talking all things dogs, and the team even managed to keep a special toy for their beloved dog at home, waiting for them, as a treat at the end of the day!
