Over £17K raised for YMCA through production asset reuse
When a production with over 6000 production assets deadstriked, the team at CAMA went full steam ahead with getting as much reused as possible.
As part of the redistribution, a large amount of props and costumes were donated to the YMCA, a long-term partner of CAMA.
With the assets they received ranging from everyday items to more obscure and outlandish medieval props, it was perfect for the vibrant style and eclectic nature of life in Brighton. Therefore, most assets were distributed between those stores and were a massive hit.
YMCA has sold almost all the assets received and raised £17k. Showcasing the incredible social benefits of production assets being donated and reused.
“The rest of the production stock has mostly sold, we have only a few items left. Raising over £17K for our work with young people. An absolutely fantastic donation. I cannot thank you all enough.”
Tina Gibbs, Retail Stock Manager, YMCA
The YMCA focus on family & Youth Work, Health & Wellbeing, Housing, Training & Education as well as Support & Advice! Creating positive outcomes and opportunities for young people so they can contribute and thrive in society.
At CAMA, we are thrilled that our efforts have made such an impact on those in need. CAMA’s contribution not only provided financial support. But also helped keep thousands of items out of landfills by encouraging reuse instead of disposal.
We believe that reuse is not only beneficial from an environmental perspective. But also helps create sustainable models for charities that truly make a difference in people’s lives.
Hearing how much good these items will do inspires the team and continues to drive our passion for reuse and encouraging other productions to do the same.
