CAMA wins Global Production Innovation Award in Cannes
At Screen International’s Global Production Awards ceremony, hosted during the 2024 Cannes Film Festival, the CAMA team were thrilled to win the award for Physical Production Innovation.

Our winning entry, ‘CAMA AssetCycle: Innovating Circularity’, is a testament to the work of the entire team here at CAMA. We could not be prouder to champion sustainability through our circular economy service, evidencing the carbon impact of prop, costume, and set reuse and supporting productions with their sustainable practices.
The judges particularly highlighted the value of our integrated lifecycle asset management services, with one noting: “The combination of assets is impressive, from the traditional bricks-and-mortar AssetStore [storage] offering, to the AssetFlow asset management digital platform, and AssetCycle, the circular economy management service. CAMA seems to have thought of everything.”
It is an honour to have been recognised by such an incredible panel of judges, and to have been shortlisted amongst so many incredible sustainability initiatives.
In the words of our Co-Director Mac’s acceptance speech, “it is beyond belief that a small company from East London is standing here amongst such prestigious people.” CAMA is 124 years old, family-founded and run, and our team is small but mighty.
Helping the industry towards more circular practices, we have been working with productions to provide first-of-its kind carbon data and circular economy certification on the impact of reuse. This is powered by our bespoke life cycle analysis calculator and tracks assets digitalised on our unique software, AssetFlow. Through this work, we can forecast the emissions avoided through reuse versus what would have been produced had props, sets, and costumes been bought new and then sent to landfill at wrap – providing what one judge described as a “much-needed analytical tool for the industry”.
Developing AssetCycle and AssetFlow out of the existing storage facilities we offer through AssetStore has been a true labour of love. As the industry strides towards circularity and carbon reduction, we are proud to be an example of how sustainable impact is achieved when you drive innovation at every level of your organisation (no matter how old or small, or where you are in the world). Every single member of our team is a core cog in our circular economy machine, without whom even entering this category would not have been possible.
This award reflects CAMA’s collaborative ethos, ambitious transformation, and impact-led strategy. We cannot thank Screen International, the judges, and the Global Production Awards team enough for this recognition.
