A film or TV production can involve multiple teams over a long period. For this client, who was creating a pilot episode, CAMA provided a cost-effective managed storage service that guaranteed continuity between production teams.
Our brief was to manage, store and care for all the costumes, props and production material used during filming. We created a thorough online inventory using our Clickstore system, including photos and details that will enable a future production team to have full knowledge of items in storage – whether shooting begins in the next few weeks or eight months down the line.
During the four-week filming period, our teams collected and dropped off items as the production team needed them, wherever they were filming on location. They could search for the costumes or props they needed using multiple search categories, such as actor, scene or product type. This flexibility meant that space both in storage and on set was used economically and the production didn’t need to pay for a permanent resource on site to retrieve items.
